POSITION OVERVIEW
The
DEMAND & SUPPLY PLANNING COORDINATOR
will be responsible for
managing the entire production cycle, from raw material procurement to final product
delivery. This role requires close collaboration with the in-house fashion designer, sales
team, and external manufacturers. You will play a key role in demand planning, ensuring
that raw materials, packaging, and final products are delivered on time to meet
production schedules. Additionally, you will oversee the coordination with third-party
manufacturers and manage the logistics of transportation and delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning & Coordination:
- Demand Planning: Collaborate with the sales department to forecast demand
based on actual orders and projected sales, ensuring accurate production
scheduling.
- Raw Material Management: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of all raw
materials (fabric, trims, accessories) in alignment with production needs,
ensuring availability to meet production timelines working closely with the
Fashion Product Designer team.
- Third-Party Manufacturer Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for
third-party manufacturers, managing production schedules, ensuring raw
materials are delivered on time, and resolving any production issues that arise.
- Production Scheduling: Create detailed production schedules based on
forecasted demand, actual orders, and material availability, ensuring alignment
with capacity at third-party manufacturers.
- Production Order Tracking: Monitor and track production progress, ensuring
that orders are completed and delivered within agreed-upon timelines.
- Packaging Material Coordination: Ensure that all packaging materials are
ordered, delivered, and ready for use in line with production and shipping
schedules.
- Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels of both raw
materials and finished products, ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent
production delays.
- Quality Control: Sampling check quality control to ensure quality standards of
finished products
- Product Feasibility Check: evaluating whether a new product idea is viable
from specification perspectives before investing significant resources into
development and launch
Collaboration & Communication:
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with the in-house fashion
designer to understand production requirements and ensure that all design
specifications are communicated to the manufacturing partners.
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment
between sales forecasts, actual orders, and production plans.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Minimum education: degrees and/or certifications in the supply chain or production
management
Languages: Excellent knowledge of English
Experience required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of supply & demand planning
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a
related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain & demand planning
coordination, preferably within the fashion or apparel industry.
- Strong understanding of fashion manufacturing processes and experience
coordinating with third-party manufacturers.
- Proficiency in demand planning and production scheduling tools (SoftOne, Excel,
or similar).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong ability to manage
deadlines and production timelines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams (design,
sales) and external partners (suppliers, manufacturers).
- Problem-solving abilities to address production or supply chain issues promptly.
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and inventory management.
- Proficient knowledge of English, both written and oral to effectively interact with
external partners and suppliers.
