The FTTH Network Design Specialist supports/implements design solutions for the design team that implements FiberGRID's FTTH network design.

Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops fiber optic network specifications for FTTH projects.
• Participates in the creation of high-level design (HLD) and detailed design (LLD) rules.
• Participates in the preparation of design specifications for internal infrastructure.
• Collaborates with other designers involved in design activities.

Requirements:

• Degree preferably in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or other Technological discipline with a minimum education level of IEK (Institute of Vocational Training)
• Up to 2 years of experience in designing using GIS systems
• Required knowledge of GIS systems and ability to read architectural drawings and maps
• Experience in designing fiber optic networks (FTTH, FTTC, FTTx) is desirable
• Knowledge and experience in PON architecture and materials in underground and/or overhead networks will be considered a plus
• Knowledge of HLD and LL Design (fiber routing, splitting levels, P2P, metropolitan area network design, etc) is desirable
• Knowledge of Autocad software is desirable
• Good knowledge of the English language
