PPC Fibergrid - Release and Change Manager (Attica)

Responsibilities:

  • Defines which projects or changes (e.g. Projects, Incidents/Problems, Configuration Items) will smoothly follow all integration and completion steps for each Release.
  • Prepares the annual Release plan (Release Calendar) based on the needs and constraints arising from calendar or business reasons and updates the plan and the completion percentage of individual actions
  • Provides the respective environments (Test systems) for each Release at every testing phase and participates in the preparation of test plans, defect identification, and subsequent fixes
  • Prepares the status report of all projects within each Release and informs accordingly the CAB (Change Advisory Board), follows and implements the decisions of the CAB, e.g. if a project does not fulfil the criteria for its smooth transition to a productive environment, it must be removed from that specific Release
  • Release and Change Management Follows procedures, suggests changes for their improvement, monitors the KPIs set through ITOM tools (ServiceNow), and ensures that all involved vendors, IT teams, etc. adhere to the approved procedures and that the various teams cooperate for the smooth delivery of Releases, as well as their alignment with the strategic objectives of the Group
  • Recognizes, collects and manages emerging issues and risks, mobilizes the appropriate involved persons, and participates actively in their resolution
  • Controls and assesses the final deliverables (Deployment kits), and communicates with the respective competent persons for their acceptance based on the procedures defined by the Project Management Office (PMO) of the Department
  • Develops, adopts and promotes practices, techniques and methods of the Project Management Office (PMO) of the Department for the optimal management of IT projects, participates actively in the demand management and project portfolio and the implementation of the Capacity management, and updates the relevant document repository with the updated project artifacts and project deliverables

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a University/ College or Technical Educational Institute or Diploma in Engineering or technological discipline/ science
  • A master's degree in science or project management is an asset
  • At least 7 years of experience in IT teams
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Change Manager or related roles (e.g. Service Delivery Manager, Project Manager with technical background)
  • Desirable experience as a Release Manager
  • Desirable experience in BSS/ OSS systems IT applications, e.g. CRM, Billing, Middleware
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and ITSM tools (i.e. Service Nοw/ Jira)
  • Desirable knowledge of MS Project or related planning applications
  • Certifications in Project Management, such as PMI Prince 2 etc. are not required, but will be considered an asset.
