Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Athens for an Assistant Import Manager. The Assistant Import Manager will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as import operations and ocean/road freight forwarding.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar position (at least 1 year)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Teamwork and flexibility
- Organizational, communicational and negotiation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send the purchase orders and follow the protocol of agreed upon terms
- Research for the most beneficial freight costs based on the required Incoterms
- Communication with suppliers abroad
- Daily communication with customs brokers, carriers, etc.
- Control of import documentation.
