Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Reservations Agent to join our team. As a key member of our reservations department, you will be responsible for effectively executing our selling strategies and ensuring that revenues are maximized.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist partners and guests with availability, rates, and policies via email or phone in a polite, helpful, and professional manner.
  • Respond to emails in accuracy and speed.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document guest issues and concerns or escalate/refer to the appropriate individual.
  • Be fully conversant with all market segments and rate plans, together with special rates and packages.
  • Maximize room revenues and create additional revenue by upselling while also promoting our hotel's facilities.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails pertaining to rooms reservations.
  • Process accommodation charges, refunds, according to reservations policies.
  • Ensure our reservations system is always correctly and promptly updated and include all relevant details and comments to be communicated to other departments.
  • Identify sales opportunities through individuals, Corporate Accounts, Wholesalers, and Travel Management companies.
  • Support the Reservations Manager with special projects as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Reservations Agent preferably in a luxury property.
  • University Degree in Tourism (and/or relevant master's degree).
  • Fluency in Greek and English, verbal and written (Other languages such as German or Russian will be considered a plus)
  • Working knowledge of MARSHA, GXP Empower, and Opera PMS would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Team player, passionate and focused on providing high-quality results.
  • Self-motivated, focused, multitasking, and proactive.
