JOB PURPOSE

Ensure there is a solid relationship with customer service, vessel operations and sales in maintaining high quality standards and performance to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

To ensure efficient planning of cargo loading to the booked vessels, within all legislative and port requirements. Oversee all operational control by optimizing Greece vessel and terminal performance.

Monitor vessels and terminals and inform the stakeholders on the schedule changes.

Support the day-to-day administration for regional vessels, terminals, and landside down operations.

Arrange, communicate, and optimize the transport requirements for both laden and empty containers for Greece in line with the agreed guidelines.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor allocations and utilisation for ONE and partner vessels.
  • Collate and communicate all required cargo/vessel information prior to vessel arrival. Update port systems and communicate with partner Lines and Vessel Operations. Send load list, manifest and DG information to the terminal operator, main line vessel operator or partner lines and port authorities.
  • Maximize the available operations resources to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective transport modes are implemented for the movement of full and empty containers.
  • Monitor Vessel stowage planning process, submission to terminals and resolving any issues.
  • Support in monitoring vendor performance against service level agreements and address gaps.
  • Support in monitoring stock levels against established MIN/MAX levels.
  • Ensure that any transport issues, costs, or performance related are correctly communicated both internally and externally to ensure a quality operations service is provided with minimal problems.
  • Optimize the empty equipment availability, evacuation whilst minimizing costs.
  • Meeting customer demands and balancing empty stocks and empty transport steering within Greece.
  • Optimizing the stocks by balancing surplus and demand locations
  • Ensure high quality service is provided by addressing equipment issues that are communicated both internally and externally.
  • In addition to the major responsibilities detailed in this job description, the job holder will carry out any other duties or projects that are assigned by the company.
  • There will be a requirement to be flexible on hours of work in accordance with operational business needs, this will also be required to assist the department to meet its KPI.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in relevant position in shipping/logistics business
  • Good communication skills - fluent in English spoken and written
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good PC skills, such as Orian, Gmail and other Google tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Diligent with high standards of accuracy and detail
  • Good organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure & excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
