IT Officer

Venergy Maritime, located in Piraeus is looking to recruit an IT Officer.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and configure computer hardware, corporate mobile devices, operating systems and applications on relevant servers & workstations.
• Maintain and manage the company's IT systems and infrastructure onboard (users, servers, clients, communication, etc.) to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to end users to resolve ICT-related issues promptly and ensure continuous performance.
• Attend vessels to provide support on active equipment and/or deploy new solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders within IT team and across business for the daily assignments and ad hoc projects.
• Coordinate with external partners for the implementation and maintenance of IT systems.
• Maintain policies and procedures to ensure the documented maintenance & administration of systems and compliance with Company's Management System.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering.
• 5+ years' working experience is required
• Experience in the shipping industry is required
• Working knowledge of maritime solutions such as Danaos, PMS, ISM
• Working knowledge of Microsoft OS, roles (including Active Directory Services, File Server, RDS, DHCP, DNS), Exchange Server, Backup, Cluster Systems, and virtualized environments (such as VMware infrastructure) is required.
• Working knowledge of networking, including LAN, WLAN, VPN and satellite systems (especially in L and Ka bands), will be considered an asset.
• Fluency in both written and oral communication in English.
