Tarros Hellas SA was established in Piraeus in August 1999. Through its offices in Piraeus, Tarros Hellas offers onshore transportation solutions "door to door " by land, train and sea for FCL and LCL loads, with weekly departures to and from all the main destinations it represents.

We are hiring for our offices in Piraeus a Documentation & Customer Service Representative.

General Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in shipping, preferably in a shipping agency
  • Graduated from relevant departments, preferably Business Management or Shipping
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with customer focus
  • Computer literacy
  • Attention to detail

Job Description

  • Following up main liner and feeder operators' services/schedules/ coastal schedules
  • Ensuring completion of the vessel check list and closure of import or export procedures in the system
  • Collecting and control bookings & documents received from various sources (customer service, equipment control, transshipment, feedering teams, other line agents)
  • Preparing the IMO declaration for the local authorities
  • Preparing manifests and issuing bill of lading and provide to customers, port authorities & the line
  • Preparing pre-invoice of the shipments
  • Making corrections to manifests and telex release
  • Freight checking of the manifests via local system, along with offers already filed from Commercial team
  • ENS/MRN procedures – Customs Declaration
  • Informing all partners involved (clients/ lines/ POL, POD) for extra costs (storages, overdue, idle, demurrages, undelivered, repair costs, cleaning costs) and solving any discrepancies with customers in coordination with sales, agents, accounting, and equipment control dept.
  • Sending the final booking forecast loading list for local export cargo to CFC
  • Contacting with customers for solving upcoming issues regarding their bookings either via e-mail or phone
  • Informing customers about container tracking and return of empties
  • Providing excellent services to the customers according to corporate values
  • Arranging and following up the procedure of door deliveries, custom clearance for Import and Export cargoes and informing clients of all documents required. Coordinating delivery dates and conditions with clients and truckers
  • Following up vessel allocation by sending forecasts to the trade and in cases needed involve Trade Pricing Dept. for further assistance
  • Monitoring and following up re-exports and COD cargoes.
  • Updating records with Line's Regulations
