Key Responsibilities:

Import Operations:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of import LCL shipments from booking to final delivery.
  • Coordinate and liaise with origin agents for shipment updates and documentation.
  • Handle cargo arrival notifications and coordinate with port terminals and container freight stations (CFS).
  • Arrange and monitor deconsolidation processes.
  • Prepare and process customs documentation in compliance with Greek and EU regulations.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and relevant authorities for smooth cargo clearance.
  • Arrange final trucking and delivery to consignees.
  • Proactively communicate shipment status, issues, and solutions to freight forwarder clients.

Export Operations:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of export LCL shipments from receipt of cargo to DAP delivery.
  • Receive and process shipping instructions.
  • Coordinate the collection of cargo from shippers and its transport to the CFS.
  • Plan and manage container stuffing plans, ensuring optimal space utilization.
  • Prepare and issue Bills of Lading (B/L), House Manifests, and other relevant export documents.
  • Liaise with carriers for booking and slot allocation.
  • Ensure all export customs formalities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Track cargo to the port and confirm vessel departure.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our ERP.
  • Calculate and verify freight costs, handling charges, and other related costs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any operational issues or delays.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and service providers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company procedures and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping operations, with specific experience in LCL consolidation being a significant advantage.
  • Proven experience working with freight forwarders as clients is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end import/export procedures and documentation (Bill of Lading, Customs Declarations, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of Greek customs regulations and port procedures.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Computer literate, prior knowledge of ORIAN ERP will be considerd a plus.
  • Any additional language would be considered as a plus.
