Antipollution, a member of V Group, is seeking a motivated Junior Environmental Specialist to join the Licensing & Permits Department. The successful candidate will support environmental permitting and compliance activities related to the company's facilities and projects across Greece, ensuring timely submissions, document accuracy, and regulatory alignment with environmental legislation.

Role Overview

The role involves administrative and technical support in the management, monitoring, and renewal of environmental permits. The Junior Environmental Specialist will maintain permit databases, assist with compliance reporting, and liaise with public authorities and internal departments to ensure adherence to legal and corporate environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Permitting & Licensing Support

  2. Assist in managing and monitoring environmental permits for company facilities and projects.

  3. Prepare and submit permit-related applications and documentation to public authorities.

  4. Permit Inventory Management

  5. Maintain and regularly update the company's Permit Inventory.

  6. Track permit expirations, renewals, and regulatory deadlines.

  7. Compliance & Documentation

  8. Collect and organize supporting documents for permit submissions.

  9. Review and analyze environmental permit terms and conditions.
  10. Support the preparation of internal compliance reports and audits.

  11. Field Support & Reporting

  12. Participate in on-site inspections and environmental monitoring activities, assisting in data collection and verification.

  13. Maintain accurate records and contribute to compliance reporting and internal audits.

  14. Administrative Support

  15. Archive and maintain electronic and physical permit files in an organized manner.

  16. Coordinate with other departments to ensure documentation completeness and accuracy.

Requirements

Professional Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and preparation of environmental studies, ideally within the waste management or environmental sector.

Academic Background & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

Languages & Technical Capabilities

  • Excellent command of English and Greek (written and spoken).
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office); familiarity with AutoCAD or GIS software is considered an asset.
  • Valid driving license and availability for occasional site visits.
  • Familiarity with national and European environmental and waste management legislation would be an asset.
