Junior Engineer

to join our
Energy Efficiency Department

. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise in ship energy efficiency and environmental compliance within a leading maritime consultancy.

About the Role:

As a
Junior Engineer

in the
Energy Efficiency Department

, you will assist in the preparation of technical documentation and analyses that help ensure vessels comply with international and regional environmental regulations.

Your main focus will be on the
development of shipboard energy efficiency manuals

and the
implementation of compliance strategies

aligned with IMO and EU air emissions requirements. You will work alongside experienced naval architects and marine engineers, gaining valuable insight into energy optimisation and sustainable ship operation practices.

Key Responsibilities:


•
Manual Preparation:

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plans (SEEMP), EU MRV (ETS) Plans, FuelEU Monitoring Plans and related documentation.


• Regulatory Compliance:

Support the assessment of vessel compliance with IMO MARPOL Annex VI, EU MRV, and other regional emissions frameworks.


• Technical Support:

Collaborate with senior engineers to provide guidance to clients and shipboard personnel on energy efficiency and emissions requirements.


• Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to the refinement of internal templates, databases, and processes to enhance the quality and consistency of energy efficiency deliverables.

What We're Looking For:

  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Previous experience in emissions management, maritime compliance, or a similar regulatory role is highly desirable.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Experience with international regulatory frameworks will be an asset.
  • Analytical Skills:
    Ability to interpret technical information, generate insights, and produce compliant energy related manuals.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
