Company operating in the Shipping industry, based in Southern suburbs of Attikis, is seeking for the following position:

Accounting Operator (code AcOp01)

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Handle crew payroll monitoring, including wages, allotments, and cash advances.
  • Administer timely and accurate payment of home allotments to crew members' allottees.
  • Monitor and reconcile crew accounts and maintain balance statements per vessel and per principal.
  • Record financial transactions and crew-related costs in the internal ERP system
  • Prepare detailed breakdowns of crew costs, including Home Allotments, SSS, agency fees, licenses, visa, travel expenses.
  • Issue monthly invoices to clients based on crew-related expenses.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to principals and internal management.
  • Assist in the preparation and verification of monthly expense reports and crew-related invoices.
  • Maintain proper filing and archiving of financial documents, including billing statements, remittances, and receipts.
  • Liaise with crewing departments and banks to coordinate and process payments.
  • Coordinate with the accounting department and other internal teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable related to crew operations.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company procedures and reporting standards.
  • Ensure all financial records and reports are accurate, complete, and updated in accordance with internal policies.

Required qualifications for the required position:

  • Accounting or Financial Studies are required
  • Minimum experience in Maritime industry - Onboard experience will be considered an asset: 1 YR including internship
  • Fluency in English (spoken/written) and PC Literate is a must
  • Computer skills required (previous use of crew software will be considered a plus)
