We are a fast-growing company in the convenience retail sector, operating a dynamic network of stores. To support our continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the company's financial management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Greek Accounting Standards (E.L.P.) and current tax regulations.
  • Reconcile and monitor customer, supplier, and bank accounts.
  • Record expense invoices and perform accurate bookkeeping entries.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory and warehouse movements, ensuring data consistency with store operations.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse, procurement, and retail operations teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
  • Participate in process improvement and automation projects, supporting the company's digital transformation.
  • Maintain and update the fixed assets register.
  • Supervise and control daily cash operations across stores.
  • Monitor and reconcile myDATA transactions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (A.E.I./T.E.I.) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting firm or in a structured corporate accounting department.
  • Solid knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards (E.L.P.), Income Tax, and VAT regulations.
  • Excellent command of MS Office and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (EpsilonNet & Softone) preferred.
  • Very good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take responsibility and solve problems proactively.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in both Greek and English.
