We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to join our team as Head of the Technical Department. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage the design and execution of construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver design of construction projects from the initial stage through all the permits to successful completion
  • Monitor architectural design functionality, aesthetics, and its compliance with local zoning laws and urban planning regulations
  • Oversee the design process to ensure its alignment with the initial objectives, local regulations, and building codes (e.g., Greek Building Regulations)
  • Ensure compliance with all the necessary building codes and local regulations
  • Coordinate lawyers and civil engineers on the buy-in stage
  • Coordinate legalization process and obtaining construction permits
  • Manage day-to-day design activities of the project, schedules and deadlines to ensure each project is completed on time, within scope of work, and on budget.
  • Coordinate all the team members involved in projects
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and other external project participants
  • Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress and project compliance with the initially stated requirements
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks related to cost overruns, schedule delays, or quality issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in construction laws and architectural guidelines in Greece
  • Prepare all the necessary projects plans and documentation, identify critical milestones and monitor their execution

Requirements

  • Specialized Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, civil engineering, or electrical/mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 
    15 years of experience
     in project management in construction, engineering or architecture
  • Professional certification in project management will be an advantage
  • Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with technical, quality requirements, and standards.
  • Solid understanding of the main architectural design principles
  • Knowledge of Greek building regulations, zoning laws, and construction codes
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
  • Proficiency in architectural design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Fluency in

  • Ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle on-site challenges efficiently
