Head of R&D – RNA Therapeutics | Athens, Greece (Relocation Supported)

We're partnering with a fast-growing pharmaceutical company entering the RNA therapeutics space, developing a next-generation platform in siRNA and GalNAc-conjugated, liver-targeted drugs.

They are seeking an exceptional Head of R&D to lead early-stage development — from target selection through API readiness — and to build internal capabilities across ligand synthesis, oligonucleotide API, and drug product development.

This is a unique opportunity to shape a new RNA platform from the ground up, with full ownership of scientific strategy, team building, external collaborations, and technical decision-making.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline
  • 8+ years of industry experience in oligonucleotide development (siRNA, ASO, or related modalities)
  • Deep expertise in solid-phase synthesis, purification, and analytical methods for oligonucleotides

Location: Athens, Greece — relocation support provided
