About Us

We are a dynamic startup developing an innovative product for creating interactive spaces and worlds in the metaverse. Our mission is to develop and expanf the next-generation platform, metasteps, where users and businesses can design, manage, and host VR & XR experiences. We are looking for a Head of Product Development with strong Product Owner skills and the potential to evolve into a CEO role, to lead our team and product into the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define & Execute Product Roadmap
• Collaborate with engineering team to set feature priorities, maintain the backlog, and refine user stories.
• Create detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
• Track key performance indicators (e.g., load times, retention rate, NPS) and optimize based on analytics.
• Product Organization & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Coordinate between UI/UX designers, development engineers, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Ensure all efforts align with the ultimate vision: building immersive metaverse spaces.
• Organize regular testing (A/B testing, usability tests), analyze feedback, and iterate on features.
• Team Leadership & People Management
• Hire, mentor, and coach product team members.
• Foster a culture of learning from mistakes, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Manage the Product Development budget and allocate resources (both in-house and external partners).
• Strategic Planning & Business Development
• Contribute to shaping company strategy, investment roadmaps, and fundraising efforts.
• Develop go-to-market strategies: positioning, pricing models, B2B partnerships.
• Present the product to investors, stakeholders, and potential partners.
• Future Transition to CEO Role
• Gain experience in legal, regulatory, and business aspects of the metaverse market in Greece and internationally.
• Visualize long-term goals and lead all departments (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales).
• Draft business plans, prepare monthly board updates, and report KPIs to the executive team.

Candidate Profile

• Experience & Skills
• 5+ years as a Product Owner or Head of Software Product Development (B2B or B2C products). Experience in tech startups or scale-ups is highly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of product management methodologies (e.g. Scrum/Kanban), JIRA/Confluence, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Strong ability to write technical specifications, coordinate sprint planning, and manage release cycles (CI/CD).
• Familiarity with VR/AR systems, 3D engines (Unity, Unreal), or experience with metaverse development APIs (e.g., WebXR).
• Leadership & Soft Skills
• Energetic, decisive, and able to inspire and keep the team focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills (fluent in both English and Greek), with the ability to craft business presentations.
• Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven approach.
• Ability to make decisions under uncertainty and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Product Design, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Advanced degrees (e.g., Master's in Digital Media, Innovation Management, or MBA) are a plus.
