We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to join our Finance Division at TSIMIS, a certified Great Place to Work for 2025. This role is based at our offices in Moschato and is ideal for a finance professional with deep knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and team leadership. You will be at the forefront of ensuring full financial compliance and reporting integrity across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the smooth and compliant operation of the Accounting Department.

Supervise monthly and annual closings, the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with IFRS, and the timely submission of tax declarations.

Coordinate the budgeting process and monitor budget vs. actuals, offering insights into variances and potential financial risks.

Perform monthly reconciliations across ERP modules (purchases, sales, payroll, fixed assets, VAT, INTRASTAT).

Lead the process for proper data submission to MyDATA and support external audits and inspections.

Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and compliance.

Guide, train, and support your accounting team to promote accuracy, compliance, and development.

Recommend and implement improvements in financial systems, workflows, and internal controls.

What you will need to excel in this role:

At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, with 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field (Master's degree is a plus).

Valid A' Class Accountant license.

Deep knowledge of Greek tax, labor, and commercial legislation, as well as IFRS standards.

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Fluency in Greek and a very good command of English.

High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
