Head of Yacht Management
, you will play a key strategic role in overseeing a fleet of prestigious yachts, ensuring excellence in service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations:

  • Lead the Athens based yacht management division and act as the main point of contact for owners, captains, and industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee daily operations across all functions: technical, financial, compliance, and crewing.
  • Ensure efficient resource planning, workload distribution, and team performance in alignment with IYC's standards.

Client Relations:

  • Maintain close communication with yacht owners and their representatives, providing regular updates and relevant guidance as required.
  • Anticipate client needs and deliver tailored management solutions.
  • Attend owner meetings and yacht visits occasionally accompanied by yacht managers and/ or Sr. Management.

Commercial & Strategic Growth:

  • Develop and grow the yacht management portfolio in Greece through client retention and close working relationship with local Sr. management.
  • Collaborate with the charter, sales divisions to identify and unlock cross-departmental opportunities.
  • Represent IYC at industry events, associations, and forums, strengthening our market presence.

Compliance & Technical Oversight:

  • Ensure all managed yachts are operating in full compliance with relevant flag state, classification society, and maritime regulations (ISM, ISPS, MLC) working closely with the Safety and Compliance Manager.
  • Oversee maintenance, refit, and technical projects in coordination with yacht managers and captains.
  • Manage yacht budgets and monitor financial performance of each vessel together with the relevant yacht managers and Sr. Management team.

Team Management:

  • Work with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent in yacht management.
  • Mentor and guide a team of yacht managers and support staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture across the team.
  • Provide regular feedback, conduct regular performance reviews and ensure continuous development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in yacht management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge and strong understanding of large yacht or cruise operations, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong client service orientation and proven experience managing HNWI relationships.
  • Inspiring leadership style, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a "yes, I can" attitude.
  • Fluency in English and native-level Greek.
  • Strong organisational and financial acumen; budget management experience is a must.
  • Proficiency in yacht management platforms and related IT tools
  • Technical background (e.g. marine engineering, naval architecture) or relevant certifications (ISM/ISPS/MLC/ISM Auditor) is a plus.
