As the leader of the commercial team, you'll play a key role in executing our strategy and driving the success of the Diagnostics business. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Generating business by managing client relationships and delivering Sysmex's full portfolio of solutions and services in the clinical laboratory space.
  • Full responsibility for the sales budget and performance of assigned products.
  • Leading the commercial team, overseeing sales activities, and executing the annual sales budget.
  • Proactively managing the CRM and sales funnel (Opportunity Management).
  • Collaborating with Marketing to coordinate and oversee product demonstrations (led by Field Application Specialist) and strategic events.

Sales Manager - Diagnostics (f/m/x)

The premisses are planned to be in Athen, working modalities are remote or hybrid.

Your responsibilities

As leader of the commercial team, you contribute to the implementation of the strategy, development and objectives of the organization.

  • Identify the main market trends
  • Transform these trends into actions and products in accordance with the global strategy
  • Live the concept of responsibility for key accounts.
  • Participate in conferences and fairs in the segment

Represent Sysmex in area accounts

  • Regular visits to key clients within accounts to establish strong contacts on ongoing or future business.
  • Offer management – coordinates commercial department and other resources, sets prices according to the availability and resources of competitors, requests follow-up to facilitate the relationship with the management team
  • CRM: Ensure your team actively uses the CRM
  • CRM: Analyze data from the CRM/Sales Funnel and make decisions
  • Direct large projects or manage solutions and services
  • Extensive client/hospital knowledge
  • Direct national accounts and purchasing of centralized organizations – direct management.

Establish a business plan by knowing the main accounts and investment of sales engineers based on:

  • Customer management (customer history, Sysmex and Competitors customer base, analysis by sales representatives of profit/loss zone orders, project A, B customers)
  • Prepare market reports
  • Determine customer needs
  • Determine action plan for area sales representatives to acquire budgets
  • ROI in account processes by sales representatives

Management of commercial departments

  • Manage employees/resources and set tasks and objectives (e.g. propose commissions/plans and salary and bonus reviews, manage verification and appraisal of sales agents, approve expense reports for the sales organization)
  • Carry out sales processes
  • Ensure that employees have adequate support, training and evaluation, keep the motivation of commercial agents high
  • Manage and ensure the progress and quality of work.
  • Lead and take part in team projects

Your profile
  • University degree or equivalent in engineering or biosciences
  • Computer skills: CRM software, MS Office, database
  • Languages: fluent in Greek and English.

Professional experience for the position:

  • 5–8 years of experience in sales or account management roles, within the diagnostics or IVD medical devices.
  • At least 3 years in a role with direct responsibility for customers, sales targets, and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience leading or coordinating small teams or cross-functional projects, with a willingness to grow into broader leadership responsibilities.
  • Solid hands-on experience with CRM systems and structured sales pipeline management.
  • Exposure to public and private tendering processes is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, Applications, and Service teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Experience managing or contributing to budget planning and sales forecasting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with distinct ability to negotiate, engage and influence
