Role Description

This is a full-time on-site
Event Manager
role based in Athens. The Event Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of events, from planning and coordination to execution and evaluation. This person will also be responsible for the design and implementation of event marketing strategies that increase brand awareness and engagement. The Event Manager will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of all events.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality presentations and visualizations. Design creative event experiences across multiple environments including trade show exhibits, conferences, networking, and side events.
  • Manage all aspects of an event from pre-planning, determining resource needs, pre-event marketing, and on-site coordination, to post-event follow-up.
  • Order supplies needed for events ensuring items arrive in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence in a strict and timely manner.
  • Assist in site and vendor selection and negotiating the best possible rates and terms.
  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise staff at events, assign duties, and provide general direction.
  • Conduct post-event data and strategic analysis to inform future events.
  • Knowledge of the latest event production methodology to produce stylish, functional logistic solutions.
  • Strategically and professionally present complex ideas to project stakeholders during meetings via face-to-face, virtual, and email.
  • Take direction from marketing, operation, and business development.
  • Operate effectively as part of a team under time constraints and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in event management/planning/ directing of large-scale events
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking personality.
  • Must have good organizational, analytical, and coordinating abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Great interpersonal abilities.
  • Must always possess good leadership qualities and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent Knowledge of both Greek and English, written and spoken.
  • MICE tourism knowledge is considered a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
