We are seeking a strategic and experienced
Senior Proposal Writer / Bid Manager
with strong expertise in Horizon Europe. You will join our Development Unit and
play a pivotal role in leading the end-to-end development of competitive, high-quality proposals to secure EU funding.
This position is ideal for a candidate with a deep understanding of EU policies, experience in proposal writing and consortia formation, and a track record of successful applications in Horizon Europe, EIT, EU4Health, DEP, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the full proposal development cycle: from identifying funding opportunities, to designing the concept, drafting content, coordinating partners, and submitting the proposal.
• Conduct in-depth research on call guidelines and strategic policy priorities to ensure proposal alignment.
• Write, edit, and proofread technical and non-technical proposal content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and compliance with call requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and liaise with external stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality inputs.
• Establish and maintain collaborations with research institutions, universities, industry players, and NGOs across Europe.
• Ensure proposals reflect KMOP's strengths, track record, and innovation potential.
• Support the post-submission process, including attending debriefings, concluding contractualization, and addressing any follow-up questions or requests for additional information.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the social sector, staying updated on relevant trends, policies, and best practices in proposal writing.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's and Master's degree in a field of human/social/environmental sciences. A PhD will be considered an asset.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in writing and coordinating proposals for Horizon Europe, and other EU/National programs.
• Proven success in winning Horizon Europe proposals, ideally as coordinator or major partner.
• Excellent knowledge of EU platforms (e.g., F&T, ECAS, PADOR, ΟΠΣ, ΕΣΠΑ), forms (e.g., detailed budget form, lump sum, ΤΔΠ, ΕΑΚ), and procedures (e.g., PRAG).
• Near-native use of English, and excellent writing skills, both in Greek and in English, with the ability to craft persuasive, clear, and concise proposals, tailored to diverse funding programs.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure compliance with funding guidelines and eligibility criteria.
• Ability to work independently, manage complex processes, and handle tight deadlines with professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal and team management skills; experience working with international consortia.
• Familiarity with KMOP's focus areas (education, employment, migration, social/green economy, human rights, health promotion).
