Our products blend software, electronics, and precision-built parts into seamless, live experiences. The 3D printing area is a key pillar of our in-house production.

The Role

We're hiring a 3D Printing Operations Specialist to run and scale our 3D printing area. You'll collaborate with 3D designers and project managers/constructors to translate specs into reliable, repeatable prints; oversee day-to-day production; and keep our Prusa and Bambu Lab printer fleet tuned, safe, and efficient. Experience with 3D product design is a plus (not required).

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end print pipeline: job intake, slicing, scheduling, QA, and dispatch.
  • Work with designers/PMs to confirm materials, tolerances, infill, wall thickness, supports, and functional requirements.
  • Operate and maintain Prusa and Bambu Lab FFF/FDM printers (calibration, bed leveling, nozzle/extruder swaps, firmware updates).
  • Prepare models and slice with PrusaSlicer / Bambu Studio (or similar), optimizing for speed, strength, and surface quality.
  • Print both decorative/props and functional/structural parts (enclosures, brackets, jigs, mechanisms for electronics and gameplay).
  • Perform post-processing: support removal, sanding, fit checks, tapping/threads, basic finishing.
  • Run production monitoring & QC: dimensional checks, test fits, batch traceability, basic documentation.
  • Manage materials & consumables (PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA, TPU, specialty filaments); track usage and reorders.
  • Troubleshoot failures and implement continuous improvements to throughput and yield.
  • Uphold safety, equipment upkeep, and tidy workflows across the print area.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience operating FDM/FFF 3D printers in a production or lab environment.
  • Proficiency with slicers (PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, or Cura) and practical knowledge of common filaments (PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA, TPU).
  • Understanding of DFAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing): part orientation, supports, strength vs. speed trade-offs.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills (adhesion, warping, stringing, extrusion issues) and preventive maintenance habits.
  • Ability to read technical drawings / dimensional specs and communicate clearly with designers and constructors.
  • Organized, methodical approach to prioritization, scheduling, and QC in a multi-job pipeline.
  • English proficiency; comfortable collaborating cross-functionally.
  • On-site availability at our Diavata HQ (own transport a plus).

Nice to Have (Optional):

  • Basic 3D CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar) for minor edits/fixtures.
  • Experience printing electronics-related components (enclosures, mounts) and fasteners/threads.
  • Familiarity with resin/SLA workflows (for fine detail parts).
