On behalf of our client, a well-established company in the tourism sector, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in Athens. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and organized, with prior experience in invoicing, data entry, and accounting support—and familiarity with MyData is essential.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations, focusing on invoice processing, data entry, and ensuring accurate financial records. You'll collaborate closely with the finance team to meet reporting deadlines and maintain compliance with tax regulations, including MyData obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Input financial data into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with MyData requirements and update relevant platforms accordingly.
  • Support monthly closings and reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized financial records and assist with audit preparations.
  • Communicate with suppliers and clients for invoice-related queries.
  • Provide general support to the accounting department.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Good knowledge of MyData platform and relevant Greek tax regulations.
  • Familiarity with invoicing processes and accounting systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  •  English is a plus.
