
IT Support Technician

As a IT Support Technician, you will work closely with our IT support team to provide exceptional on-site and remote support in our Apple-centric environment. Your primary mission will be to ensure our end-users can work efficiently and securely by resolving technical issues related to Apple MacOS applications, and assisting with user onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and professional remote technical support to our end-users worldwide for all IT-related issues that fall under the IT Support team responsibilities.
- Manage, prioritize, and resolve IT support tickets using our Jira Service Desk, ensuring clear communication and documentation throughout the process.
- Set up, configure, and deploy new Apple MacBooks for new hires, including user onboarding and orientation to our systems.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot a wide range of macOS software and business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Apple MacBooks and the few Windows PCs in our environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including VPN (Cisco), Wi-Fi, and internet access.
- Manage user accounts and resolve access problems across various platforms.
- Assist with the administration and support of our collaboration tools and productivity suites.
Requirements
- Education: A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role.
Preferred qualifications & certifications
- An Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification will be considered a significant advantage but not required.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ are beneficial but not required.
Technical skills
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh software and hardware is highly desirable but not required.
- Hands-on experience with JamfPro for Apple device management is also a significant advantage but not required.
- Basic administration knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Basic understanding of Windows Server administration (e.g., Active Directory, user accounts, permissions).
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and VPN technologies.
Soft skills
- A strong customer-service mindset, with a demonstrated ability to act with professionalism, patience, and kindness.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
