Optimal, on behalf of a global leader in advanced machinery solutions, is seeking a Sales Manager based in Athens.

Scope of Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets by managing the existing customer base and generating new business opportunities. This role is based in Athens and requires regular travel across the territory to meet clients and support business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, objectives, and budgets.
  • Manage and grow the customer base within the assigned territory, ensuring excellent service and alignment with company policies.
  • Create new business opportunities through penetration of new segments and target customers.
  • Support customer account management, including pricing, credit, and payment processes.
  • Maintain close relationships with key clients and provide regular progress reports.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing Management to inform new product development and launches.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Master's in Engineering, Agronomy, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B machinery sales, preferably in the agricultural sector.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Excel; knowledge of CRM and ERP platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and results orientation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the territory.
