ManpowerGroup, on behalf of its client, one of the largest companies in Greece specializing in hospitality, construction, and asset management, is in search of a procurement officer.

Location: Athens
Working Model: On-Site
You will be reporting to: Procurement Manager

Your work will include:

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the company's procurement processes, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. They negotiate with suppliers, ensure compliance with internal policies, and manage procurement contracts.

More specifically:

  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers
  • Understand the specific needs and requirements of technical projects
  • Issue RFQ and RFP and evaluate the proposals
  • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers
  • Place and monitor procurement orders
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Ensure the quality of received goods and services
  • Implement and adhere to the company's procurement policies and procedures
  • Incorporate items and orders in the ERP
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, and / or Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction company
  • Familiarity with technical specifications and standards in engineering and construction
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and contract management
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Familiarity with procurement management systems (e.g., ERP)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Very good use of English, both in verbal and written form
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
