ManpowerGroup, on behalf of its client, one of the largest companies in Greece specializing in hospitality, construction, and asset management, is in search of a procurement officer.
Location: Athens
Working Model: On-Site
You will be reporting to: Procurement Manager
What you will do:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the company's procurement processes, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. They negotiate with suppliers, ensure compliance with internal policies, and manage procurement contracts.
More specifically you will:
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers
- Understand the specific needs and requirements of technical projects
- Issue RFQ and RFP and evaluate the proposals
- Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers
- Place and monitor procurement orders
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Ensure the quality of received goods and services
- Implement and adhere to the company's procurement policies and procedures
- Incorporate items and orders in the ERP
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, and / or Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction company
- Familiarity with technical specifications and standards in engineering and construction
- Knowledge of procurement processes and contract management
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Familiarity with procurement management systems (e.g., ERP)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Very good use of English, both in verbal and written form
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
