Investment Associate

The Role

We're hiring an Investment Associate to help us discover, evaluate, and back exceptional founders—while also building our internal "AI agenda" so the firm's research, diligence, and portfolio workflows run faster and smarter. This role is ideal for someone who is highly self-motivated, thrives in unstructured, fast-changing priorities, and has a demonstrated track record of excellence in any arena (academic, athletic, entrepreneurial, research, etc.).

What You'll Do

• Portfolio support: Monitor portfolio KPIs, create value-add analyses, and assist founders on special projects.
• Source & evaluate deals: Scout deep-tech startups across Greece and Europe; run market, product, IP, and competition analyses; assess teams and traction.
• Diligence & IC materials: Build analytical investment theses and present concise, decision-ready memos to the Investment Committee.
• AI agenda & automation: Design and evolve our internal AI stack (agents, research/workflow automation, data pipelines, LLM-assisted analysis) to handle the bulk of first-pass legwork.
• Market intelligence: Track target sectors and technologies globally; produce crisp, periodic digests for partners and LPs.
• Investor reporting & ops: Support quarterly/bi-annual/annual LP reporting and assist with fund & management company financial operations.

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

• You are actively engaging with portfolio companies, monitoring performance, and providing value-added analysis to support growth.
• You've built and expanded proprietary dealflow channels, sourcing unique opportunities and producing sharp comparative analyses.
• You've shipped an internal AI workflow (or agent) that meaningfully cuts research/diligence time.
• You're consistently delivering IC-ready memos with clear convictions and well-sourced analysis.
• Partners and founders rely on your market digests and KPI dashboards to make faster decisions.

Essential Requirements

• Education: BSc in Engineering or Business/Finance (or equivalent). An engineering/ICT background paired with business/finance is ideal.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in technology evaluation and investments, or in Finance, Consulting, Advisory, Product, or Research roles.
• Technical literacy: Curious and conversant in AI/ML, data infrastructure, and modern tooling; hands-on with analytics/automation is a plus.
• Analytical rigor: Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; able to structure ambiguous problems and produce decision-useful output.
• Reporting: Experience structuring, automating, and improving managerial/board-level reports and presenting insights.
• Communication: Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Greek.
• Mindset: Highly self-motivated, proactive, and calm under shifting priorities; comfortable with autonomy in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
• Track record: Demonstrated excellence (any field) with clear examples of high performance and ownership.

Desirable Qualifications

• Understanding of venture capital economics and fund mechanics.
• Operational experience in a startup environment.
• Financial modelling, valuation, and sector analysis (investment banking, research house, or in-house).
• Master's degree or MBA.
• Additional business-level languages.
