Job Overview
The Advisory Associate will support the Advisory Manager in conducting financial, market, and operational analyses for hotel investments and advisory projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional looking to develop expertise in hotel investment underwriting, valuations, and strategic advisory. The Associate will contribute to client deliverables, business planning, and project execution, ensuring high-quality insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Hotel Investment & Analysis

  • Assist in hotel investment underwriting for banks, servicers, developers, and investors.
  • Support financial modeling, feasibility studies, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and competitor assessments.

Advisory & Consulting Support

  • Contribute to business planning, value-add strategies, and independent business reviews (IBRs).
  • Support in preparing hotel single-asset and portfolio valuations.
  • Assist in brand selection processes by compiling research and comparative analyses.
  • Provide input for operational design consulting, permitting, and master planning projects.

Project Delivery & Client Support

  • Draft reports, presentations, and analytical outputs for client projects.
  • Work closely with the Advisory Manager to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity, documentation, and presentation quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master's is a plus).
  • 1–3 years of experience in hospitality consulting, hotel asset management, real estate, or investment analysis.
  • Exposure to financial modeling and hospitality market research preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with financial statements, cash flow modeling, and hotel KPIs.
  • Ability to conduct market research and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn within a fast-paced advisory environment.
