About Us:

Seaborne Capital Connect is the advisory affiliate of Seaborne Shipbrokers SA, operating as a boutique M&A and capital-raising firm focused on mid-market transactions across Europe, the Middle East, and the US. We advise family businesses, private equity funds, entrepreneurs, and corporates on cross-border acquisitions, strategic exits, growth capital raises, and complex special situations across shipping, education, technology, marine equipment, consumer products, industrials etc.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a self-driven Associate to join our growing team in Athens. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership across all aspects of live transactions, client pitches, and origination initiatives. This is an exceptional opportunity for a young professional to gain exposure to international deals and develop a full investment banking skillset in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A and capital-raising transactions
  • Conduct company, sector, and market research for strategic and financial analysis
  • Assist in building and maintaining financial models, valuations (DCF, trading & transaction comps), and cap tables
  • Prepare client presentations, teasers, information memoranda, and investment materials
  • Participate in due diligence, data room management, and communication with clients, investors, and legal teams
  • Support origination efforts through market mapping, target screening, and investor outreach
  • Help maintain CRM, deal pipeline trackers, and internal project workflows

Requirements:

  • 0–3 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, Big 4 Corporate Finance, or a related role
  • Excellent financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
  • Professional fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
  • Proactive mindset, strong work ethic, and willingness to take ownership of tasks
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related fields
