Operations Assistant Coordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Operations Assistant Coordinator who focuses on delivering quality work and commits to high levels of service. We expect that the candidate can demonstrate interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and work efficiently and effectively in a team. The candidate must have basic knowledge in most of the requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor agency appointments
  • Coordinate vessels' operations
  • Monitor daily operational correspondence
  • Keep clients posted with vessel's berthing prospects, turnarounds and any issues that arise
  • Coordinate with Port Authorities/Customs for arrival and departure formalities
  • Monitor vessels' turnarounds and be in direct contact with terminals and local vendors
  • Organize and coordinate husbandry services (supplies, embarkation/disembarkation of crew members, inspectors and surveyors/CTM delivery)
  • Respond and follow up on clients' and vendors' inquiries

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience as Port Agent and/or Operator
  • Knowledge of local requirements, regulations and local authorities
  • Ability to work under pressure and build contingency plans
  • Team player who can also take ownership of tasks
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and operate with strict deadlines
  • Ability to work constructively in a team
  • Comfortable in Windows and Microsoft 365 environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Greek
