Investment Analyst – Shipping Assets / SnP coordinator (Athens)

This is a an opportunity to work with a shipowner who are growing their fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the shipping markets for tankers, bulkers, and gas carriers, with a strong focus on SnP transactions.
  • Track market developments using industry reports, market data platforms, and regular communication with shipbrokers.
  • Source, evaluate, and originate investment opportunities in shipping assets.
  • Structure potential deals, including financial and commercial terms, in alignment with the company's strategy.
  • Build detailed financial models with scenario and sensitivity analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven presentations and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead and execute transactions from initial assessment through closing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market drivers, asset values, and competitive landscape.
  • Defend investment theses with strong analytical reasoning and market insight.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and executing profitable shipping asset transactions.
  • Excellent financial modelling skills and strong understanding of shipping asset economics.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to form and defend a well-supported point of view under scrutiny.
  • This person needs to be proactive, hungry and not a person who needs to be given exact data to build a case.
