Your Tasks

• As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) (f/m/d) you support the Sthenos AI engineering team to build a best-in class hybrid cloud infrastructure:
• As a Senior SRE you own implementation of one or more components of the hybrid cloud infrastructure like networking, computing / storage resources and security
• Under the guidance of the Principal SRE, you focus in providing at least 90% automation of the infrastructure in terms of Infrastructure-as-Code and implement the necessary observability and DevOps support for the engineering team
• You consider your work a product that provides value to a rage of engineering and data science disciplines
• You understand the importance of the concepts of observability and security by design and enforce the necessary security and software development guidelines. You proactively report possible deviations to the CTO
• You monitor the efficiency of the CI/CD and DevOps processes and assist in the mission of the company to have a KPI-based steering
• You take active part in the discussions with the ML- / Data- Engineers und Data Scientists, in order to understand their needs but also to transport your ideas around the DevOps way of working.

Your Skills

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Informatics or another quantitative field
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role within a fast-moving DevOps environment focusing on cloud-native technologies
• Good experience building, managing, and deploying containerized applications using Docker; skilled in writing Dockerfiles, optimizing images, and managing containers; adept at using Docker Compose for multi-container environments, Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling, and related tools like Helm and Docker Swarm for cluster management and deployment automation
• Good knowledge of automation languages, preferably HCL (Terraform) accompanied by a proven track record of automation of infrastructure services
• Proficient knowledge in operations and everything around observability with regards to application and cloud services
• Experience in at least four technologies from the following: Python, React, WebServers, SQL-Databases, Github, Linux
• A thorough understanding of Software-Development-Quality processes and IT-security
• A solid working knowledge of the Linux operating system
• A solid understanding of both on-prem and cloud-based infrastructures with knowledge on how to leverage both for the best result
