As a
Senior Product Owner
(f/m/d) at Sthenos AI, you are shaping the vision and execution of our AI-powered defense products on a strategic level. You are that connection between business goals, customer needs and engineering excellence, ensuring our solutions make lasting impact. In addition to managing product backlogs, you inspire and guide other Product Owners as well aligning cross company initiatives at the EFA group-level and Sthenos AI at customer- and executive levels.

• You define, communicate, and evolve the long-term product vision, aligning it with the strategy of Sthenos AI and the broader EFA Group.
• You are the lighthouse for engineering and data science teams, guiding them with clarity and context to ensure alignment with the product strategy.
• You lead customer and stakeholder engagements, translating complex requirements into a clear product roadmap and measurable outcomes.
• You act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing insights on market trends, customer needs, and technology opportunities.
• You oversee and prioritize multiple product backlogs, ensuring coherence across products and projects.
• You mentor and coach Product Owners, sharing best practices in agile methodologies, backlog management, and stakeholder communication.
• You author V&V strategies, test plans and traceability matrices by monitoring product KPIs and ensuring accountability for business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• You liaise with the CTO to understand the technological direction and can balance the tradeoffs between technical and business requirements effectively.
• You ensure that products meet high standards of quality, security, and compliance required in the defense sector.
• You actively foster collaboration across the EFA Group, driving synergies and innovation across companies.
• You navigate easily customer meetings of all levels and are a natural storyteller, who can deliver vision pitches that reflect the strategic direction of Sthenos AI.
• You play an active role in external conferences, workshops, and forums to promote the innovative character of Sthenos AI.

Your Skills

• Graduate degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience as Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, with several years preferably at senior / lead level.
• Experience leading the end-to-end lifecycle of complex, high tech led products — from ideation to rollout and continuous iteration for complex, safety- or mission-critical products.
• Hands-on expertise with agile product management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) as well as the V-Model, with a track record of understanding when to apply which method.
• Track record of V&V planning, statistical test design and reporting for AI model performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating executive, customer, and cross-company interactions.
• Ability to structure, prioritize, and communicate complex requirements at both strategic and operational levels.
• Good understanding of security, compliance, and non-functional requirements in regulated or defense-related environments.
• Strong analytical and business acumen, able to link technology capabilities with measurable customer and market value.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
