Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist (f/m/d) You Take Part In a Dynamic Team Of Data Scientists, ML Engineers And Site Reliability Engineers For Implementing Next-gen Defence Applications

• You develop under the guidance of the senior data scientist(s) statistical and predictive models by using the cloud-native platform of Sthenos
• You work in a product-oriented way within a cross-functional team to understand requirements and deliver cutting-edge, AI solutions in the area of intelligent defense systems
• You can justify your technical decisions by documenting your experiments and results and create visualizations and reports to communicate your findings effectively to stakeholders
• You stay updated on advancements in data science tools, techniques, and best practices
• In close collaboration with the data engineers, you develop reusable components for data analysis, data aggregation and data products
• You are enthusiastic about participating in meetup and external conferences for disseminating the successes of the team

Your Skills

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics or another quantitative field
• Strong proficiency in Python and its libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience working with various data storage formats (e.g., Parquet, Avro, ORC, JSON, CSV) and knowledge of the pros and cons of each one
• First professional or academic experience with data processing frameworks like Spark or Ray
• Strong interest in following the end-to-end development of AI products including its operations
• Ideally, experience in integrating APIs within data pipelines
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous
