We're hiring: General Manager – Construction Sector

About the role

As
General Manager
, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's overall performance and growth. You will lead the business strategy, manage resources, oversee construction sites, ensure financial health, and safeguard smooth communication with all stakeholders — driving Axis Medical towards continued success in Greece and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
  Define and implement the company's vision, strategy, and growth plan
• Operations Oversight:
  Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations across all departments (engineering, procurement, finance, HR, and administration)
• Project Supervision:
  Monitor the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
• Business Development:
  Lead commercial efforts, expand partnerships, and identify opportunities in both public and private sectors
• Financial Management:
  Oversee budgets, cost control, and financial planning, in close cooperation with the finance team
• Stakeholder Relations:
  Maintain strong, immediate, and effective communication with clients, suppliers, partners, and public authorities
• Team Leadership:
  Inspire and guide cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Representation:
  Act as the company's primary representative in negotiations, tenders, and industry events
• Mobility:
  Travel frequently to project sites and meetings,
  within Greece and internationally

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
• Proven expertise in
  public works/projects
  and familiarity with public procurement procedures
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to align teams towards common goals
• Commercial acumen and negotiation experience
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in Greek and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
• Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
