Quality Control Analyst in Alternative Protein Food Production

The role

This is a full-time, on-site position in Quality Control role located in Athens at Solmeyea. The Quality Control associate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to quality control in the food production facility. You'll play a pivotal role conducting quality tests, performing sensory evaluations, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. You'll also maintain detailed records, collaborate with production and R&D teams to resolve issues, and help optimize food safety processes. Ultimately, you play a vital role in maintaining the company's reputation for delivering safe, high-quality products to consumers.

Responsabilities

  • Conduct routine quality control inspections and tests on products to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Document and report test results, anomalies, and non-conformance.
  • Support the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve any quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining quality control documentation and records.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
  • Previous experience in quality control, preferably in the food industry, is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes, microbiological sterile manipulation methods and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to document and report findings clearly.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Open to graduates with 0-2 years of experience in quality control or related fields.
