EXELIA develops and deploys innovative solutions for research, for interregional policy cooperation, and for training. The company launches and coordinates EU funded project proposals for its clients and partners. Technical innovation and policy transfer are essential parameters of EXELIA's work.

EXELIA seeks to recruit one (1) full-time, in-house, social sciences expert to contribute to the development of policy-oriented deliverables within EU-funded projects.

Position description:

The position's responsibilities involve drafting reports and/or project proposals. Day-to-day activities include a combination of the following items:

  • Contribute to the research design of the project deliverables and proposals to match available funding programme requirements.
  • Design data collection (e.g. questionnaires, case studies) and conduct quantitative & content analysis.
  • Draft deliverables relying on the empirical research carried out.
  • Explain and analyse complex concepts destined for decision makers in a structured, clear and precise language.
  • Contribute to the management of territorial and R&D projects, cooperate with partners, discuss and defend our analysis and deliverables.

Candidate prerequisites:

  • At least 3 years of proven relevant experience.
  • Exposure to quantitative, qualitative and mixed design methodologies.
  • Capacity to synthesise evidence and to prepare factual reports on territorial development issues.
  • Ability to produce actionable policy recommendations.
  • Ability to identify and reach out to target groups (in the context of empirical research endeavors such as surveys, focus groups, etc.) on subjects relevant to the analysis work carried out.
  • Inner interest to learn new subject matters and acquiring new knowledge.
  • Excellent writing skills in English.
