Intelligent Automation Engineer Turbomachinery

At Everllence (formerly MAN Energy Solutions Hellas) we are looking for an
Automation Engineer
to join our growing team in our Engineering Systems, Instruments & Controls department. In this position you will be responsible for the development and programming of PLCs and HMIs for major customer projects around the globe. You will contribute in making our turbomachinery equipment such as compressors, gas turbines, steams turbines, expanders etc. more efficient and increase their availability.

We Can Offer You The Following Tasks And Responsabilities

• Development and programming of PLC controls and HMIs - you are responsible for the conception, planning, and programming of PLC Controls and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for our plants.
• Development of intelligent automation solutions - you develop innovative control algorithms (including MPC, RL, AI-based) to enhance the efficiency and availability of our equipment.
• Design of modern control architectures - you design forward-thinking control architectures considering Cyber Security requirements to ensure the reliability and security of our systems.
• Conducting software acceptance tests - you perform comprehensive Digital Twin-based software acceptance tests to ensure that the developed solutions meet quality standards.
• Project management and involvement in process plant simulation - you lead or participate in projects involving the simulation of process plants with turbomachinery to test and optimize realistic scenarios..

You Can Help Us With These Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field of study
• At least 3 years professional experience in the design and programming of PLC controls with PCS7 (mandatory), WinCC and/or PCS NEO
• Programming skills in Matlab, Python, C/C++/C#, VBA, or R are desirable
• Knowledge in the field of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Experience in using low-code or no-code software development platforms.
• Fluency in Greek and English (additional languages beneficial, i.e German)
• Team-oriented, systematic and conscientious way of working

In our Engineering Systems, Instruments & Controls department you will be part of a small but growing engineering team that supoports new sales and our service team. You will be the single point of contact for local subcontractors when outsourcing automation engineering works and will perform all software acceptance tests, as well as consult and help build new control architectures. As part of the Intelligent Automation Solutions you will also be exposed to other parts of the business such as virtual commissioning and other cutting edge technologies.
