About the Role
As a
Strategic Market Research & Business Development Manager
, you will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and securing opportunities for international scientific congresses. You'll combine strategic business development with targeted research into associations, destinations, and bidding opportunities, helping CONVIN win and deliver world-class events.
Your Work will Involve
- Researching international markets, associations, and industries to identify potential congresses and bids.
- Building and maintaining relationships with associations, institutions, and stakeholders in the scientific and corporate sectors.
- Leading and supporting bid preparation and proposal submissions.
- Collaborating with internal teams to craft winning strategies tailored to client needs.
Who We're Looking For
We are specifically seeking a professional who:
- Has proven experience in PCO, MICE, association management, or a related industry (pharmaceuticals, scientific associations, corporate events).
- Understands the mechanics and dynamics of international congresses, from association needs to host destination bidding.
- Brings strong skills in
sales, business development, and market research
. - Holds a university degree in business, communications, event management, or a relevant field.
- Speaks and writes fluently in Greek and English (additional languages are a plus).
- Is an excellent communicator, comfortable presenting to and negotiating with high-level stakeholders.
- Is highly organized, analytical, and proactive in identifying opportunities.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint) and confident using online research and digital tools.
- A polished, professional presence – someone clients trust and enjoy working with.
