At our esteemed Athenian resort, we are dedicated to crafting exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service and meticulous attention to detail. We currently seek a seasoned and visionary Director of Rooms to join our Executive Team in this pivotal role.

This senior leadership position plays a critical part in the success of the Rooms Division and is integral to the hotel's Strategic Committee, contributing to long-term strategy, innovation, and service excellence.

As Director of Rooms, you will lead a large and diverse team across Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Laundry, and Guest Experience, ensuring that all aspects of the guest journey reflect world-class standards. Your leadership will directly impact guest satisfaction, staff engagement, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership to all Rooms Division departments.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop managers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Ensure that all guest interactions are handled with the highest level of care, service, and personalization.
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance the guest experience and ensure seamless operations.
  • Personally engage with guests, respond to feedback, and lead service recovery initiatives.
  • Lead the division's recruitment, performance management, scheduling, and training.
  • Oversee quality assurance standards, implementing corrective action plans where needed.
  • Participate in long-term hotel planning, including budgeting, CAPEX projects, and innovation initiatives.
  • Monitor labour costs, operating expenses, and revenues—ensuring financial targets are met through effective planning and decision-making.

What We Seek:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
  • A demonstrated ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound business acumen.
  • Deep understanding of service standards and luxury guest expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of property management systems is an asset.
  • A flexible, forward-thinking mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
