About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Director of Engineering to join our team. This key leadership position will support the Director of Engineering in maintaining the flawless operation of our resort's physical assets.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing large teams and possess strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety. A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required, along with relevant licenses and permits according to Greek legislation.

Duties:

  • Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling maintenance staff.
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs for all resort facilities and equipment.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and report detailed updates on building status.
  • Collaborate across departments to meet the resort's Environmental, Social, and Governance objectives.
  • Manage service contracts and vendor performance to guarantee quality maintenance services.
  • Provide technical guidance on health and safety compliance.
  • Support major renovation and construction projects alongside the Director of Engineering.
  • Ensure emergency and firefighting equipment are maintained to top standards and staff are trained in emergency procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams (up to 45 employees), preferably in luxury hospitality or a related sector.
  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Relevant licenses and permits according to Greek legislation.
  • Excellent command of both Greek and English, spoken and written.
  • Valid European Union passport is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety).
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office, BMS, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
