Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Finance Department in Athens. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate booking of revenue and cost associated with sales orders.

The Order Reconciliation team is responsible for handling incoming Sales Orders, closing them, reconciling, and accurately accounting within our ERP system. This team collaborates closely with other teams based in Uppsala (Sweden) and Mumbai (India).

This position involves reviewing daily statements, reconciling multiple accounts, resolving discrepancies, identifying system errors, investigating unusual transactions, and reporting findings on a daily basis.

  • Correct errors and discrepancies with adjustment postings in the accounting system
  • Closure of open sales orders not automatically invoiced
  • Reconciliation and management of sales orders using multiple platforms/systems, including D365, Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP)
  • Identification of areas for improvement and provision of feedback on ongoing processes
  • Error detection, investigation, and reporting in accordance with guidelines
  • Effective collaboration with various teams to achieve results
  • Offering assistance and support to the team as required

Requirements

We require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Apps
  • A high degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Can-do attitude, self-motivated
  • Proactiveness and initiative-taking abilities

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in the Travel Industry
  • Knowledge of GDSs (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport)
  • Previous experience with ERPs, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
