We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support the procurement of goods and services essential to hotel operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

About the Role

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating vendor proposals, managing purchase orders, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the procurement process. Your careful attention to detail and organizational skills will be critical in ensuring that the hotel maintains its commitment to excellence while controlling costs.

  • Evaluate vendor proposals and perform cost analyses to identify the best sources for products and services.
  • Manage purchase orders and coordinate timely delivery of materials and services in alignment with operational requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all purchases, inventory levels, and supplier performance metrics.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and strong understanding of supply chain management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office; experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
