We are looking for a skilled and motivated MS SQL Database Administrator with at least 3 years of hands-on experience to join our IT Operations team.

As a SQL Database Administrator, you will become part of the Database Administration team, leveraging your technical expertise to help drive client success.

Your primary objective will be to deliver project requirements, manage and resolve database-related requests, and provide consultation on technical solutions.

You will play a key role in ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of internal and customer database environments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deploying and maintaining robust, secure, and highly available database environments.
  • Troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis for major impact issues.
  • Understanding backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Experience with build in high availability and DR features (AO availability Groups, AO FCI, Distributed AG, Log shipping etc).
  • Proficient understanding of security mechanisms and compliance with auditing standards.
  • Managing and coordinating scheduled maintenance operations.
  • Monitoring SQL Environment and creating regular KPI reports.
  • Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborating with development teams and supporting database changes - releases.
  • Creating documentation deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) having at least 3 years of experience with MS SQL Server administration (On prem or cloud).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle (basic administration, queries, and performance tuning)
  • Foundational knowledge of other database systems (PostgreSQL , My SQL, MongoDB ) is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Exposure with other Data Platform services like SSIS,SSRS ,Power BI etc.
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) will be considered a plus
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools is preferred
  • Exposure to cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
  • Problem-solving mindset & eagerness to learn new technologies and industry trends.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, customer-focused mindset and strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
  • Any related certification will be considered a plus.
