The Role in a Nutshell

As a Database Administrator, you will manage, optimize, and ensure the security and availability of Oracle databases, both on-premise and in the cloud, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior DBAs.

Your Day-to-Day

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (on-prem & cloud)
• Manage user rights, review scripts, and enforce security policies
• Optimize performance using tools like AWR and Statspack
• Handle upgrades, patching, backups (RMAN), and replication (e.g., GoldenGate)
• Work with internal teams, vendors, and manage tickets (JIRA, ServiceNow)
• Guide junior DBAs, document processes, and ensure SLA compliance.

Your Key Strengths

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle RDBMS, Exadata, and OCI
• Strong skills in Oracle Linux, AIX, SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, and networking
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization
• Fluent in English
