We are looking for a
mid-level System and DB Administrator
with strong experience in IBM DB2 for zOS systems to join our team. In this role, you will support complex banking environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and compliance of DB2 databases. You will work closely with development teams and auditors to guarantee seamless integration, data protection, and operational continuity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on experience as a DB2 for zOS Database Administrator in complex IT environments (preferably banking or financial services).
  • Expertise in IBM DB2 for zOS architecture, internals, and core components.
  • Proficient use of DB2 utilities for maintenance, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Strong SQL skills (complex queries, advanced performance tuning).
  • Experience with tools like IBM OMEGAMON, BMC Mainview, or Broadcom/CA for DB2 performance monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of DB2 security and backup/recovery strategies.
  • Solid knowledge of the zOS operating system (DFSMS, CICS, MQ, etc.).
  • Working experience with JCL and TSO/ISPF.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Greek is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline (Postgraduate qualifications are a plus)

Required Certificates:

  • Relevant IBM DB2 certifications (mandatory)
