As a Finance Assistant with Odyssea, you will oversee the financial monitoring, and reporting of funded projects. The Finance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the finance team by ensuring accurate record-keeping, smooth processing of financial transactions, and timely preparation of essential financial documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare, check, and process invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Assist in preparing basic financial reports and summaries.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the finance team.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel, G-suite
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
Fluent in both written and verbal English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage, prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments without compromising quality or service
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international environment
Great plus:
- Experience working in NGOs, research institutions, or consultancy firms
