Senior Monitoring Tooling specialist (Tivoli, Dynatrace)
in Athens to work with our clients in the
European public sector.

As a
Senior Monitoring Tooling Specialist
, you will be responsible for the
design, implementation, and maintenance
of enterprise monitoring solutions using tools such as
IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM)
and
Dynatrace
. This role ensures the
availability, performance, and reliability
of IT infrastructure and applications through proactive monitoring and alerting.

Your role:

• Configure and maintain monitoring platforms (Tivoli, Dynatrace, and others).
• Develop custom dashboards, alerts, and reports for infrastructure and application monitoring.
• Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, SMT).
• Analyze performance data and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams to define monitoring requirements.
• Support incident and problem management by providing root cause analysis.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base for monitoring configurations and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support 24/7 monitoring environments.
• Overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise monitoring and ITSM tooling strategies.
• Driving automation and proactive monitoring to improve system reliability, performance, and visibility.
• Collaborating with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure end-to-end observability and operational excellence.
• Managing tool lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, and vendor coordination.
• Establishing and maintaining dashboards, alerts, and reporting frameworks to support operational and business needs.
• Ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations through effective configuration and monitoring controls.
• Providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management for the tooling and monitoring team.
• Leading a cross-functional team of specialists including:
• ITSM experts (ServiceNow)
• Configuration Managers
• Event Managers
• Monitoring specialists (Tivoli, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Splunk engineers

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications such as
  PMP, PgMP, MSP, or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC).
• 7+ years of experience in
  IT project/programme management
  .
• Hands-on experience with
  IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM) / Netcool, Dynatrace (SaaS or Managed)
  SNMP, WMI, REST APIs,
  ServiceNow, Splunk, Tivoli, Nagios, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with AIOps, log aggregation tools (e.g., ELK, Splunk), and cloud monitoring (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Fluency in Solid understanding of configuration management, event correlation, and observability best practices.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing cross-functional collaboration.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
• Proven track record of delivering
  large-scale IT programmes
  .
• Strong knowledge of
  project management methodologies
  (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, Agile, SAFe).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as
  MS Project

  Smartsheet
  .
• Ability to manage
  budgets

  contracts
  , and
  vendor relationships
  .
• English (B2 level minimum); knowledge of another European language is a plus.
• EU citizenship is required.
• You must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality in required).
