Site Engineer/ Handover Manager-Inspections – Corrective Works

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join the construction of the Riviera Tower in Ellinikon, in Athens. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to resolve construction-related issues in a dynamic, high-profile environment.

Job Description


•Manage the handover process from construction completion to obtaining the Occupancy Permit.


•Coordinate and schedule inspections with local authorities (Urban Planning, Municipality, etc.).


•Prepare and maintain detailed snag lists, identify outstanding issues, and monitor corrective actions.


•Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure full compliance with approved plans and building codes.


•Collect, prepare, and submit required documentation (technical documents, certifications, payment proofs, etc.) to the relevant authorities.


•Monitor the progress of final works and ensure timely resolution of issues prior to handover.


•Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, subcontractors, and local authorities.

Candidate Profile


•University degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.


•10–15 years of professional experience, ideally in small- to medium-scale residential projects.


•Solid understanding of Greek building regulations, codes, and permitting processes.


•Proven experience with construction inspections, defect management, and occupancy approvals.


•Strong organizational and coordination skills.


•Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.


•Previous experience as a Site Engineer, Handover Coordinator, or in a Snagging/Inspections role.


•Familiarity with MEP systems as they relate to legal building use and inspections.


•Confidence in managing documentation and liaising with public authorities.
